I did make a test podcast episode to prove I could do it and was blown away how much easier the editing and recording software is. I spent a long time struggling with Garage Band and Hindenberg and a friend who has a podcast told me about Alitu when I asked her how she was recording her podcasts and making them sound great! I used to pay someone to compile my episodes and to all the mastering and mixing, which was great, but it cost quite a bit in money (€50 per episode) and in time (writing the instructions about what should go where). They respond quickly to messages and I even had a video call with one of them when I had an issue I couldn't solve. If you have a problem, the folks at Alitu are always ready to help. The interface is easy to use (especially the new transition tool, which allows you to manipulate your transitions *and* hear a preview) and it's really handy that you can record your voiceovers directly into the app. It makes it really easy to create a podcast episode and focus on the creative side of things rather than the boring audio-editing part. I've been using Alitu for almost a year now and I love it.
